This is what happens when followers of Jesus from different churches unite to serve their local communities.

ACTION partners with local churches to get involved in community service that clearly demonstrates the power of God's love through acts of empowered kindness and meeting real needs. Churches from Ventura and western Los Angeles counties planned and implemented service projects on June 6 and 7, 2009 that bless agencies, schools, individuals and other locations in practical and tangible ways.

There are two simple ways to sign up for current and/or future ACTION events: through your church Point Leader or by contacting ACTION at 805.987.0300.

ACTION outreach efforts are only made possible with the financial support of churches, businesses, and individuals like you! In order to reach our current financial goal and continue with our vital Kingdom work we need to raise at least $35K. We would like to challenge you, to pledge a monthly gift to the ACTION Foundation to continue the work we accomplish into our community.

None of us are immune to the current economic situation yet the reality is the needs of our neighbors continue to grow. This is where you can play an important role. With a low monthly contribution from many, each of us can have a significant impact. Our goal for this year is to have a minimum of 350 individual donors contributing on average $30 per month. Currently we have 50 action monthly partners, only 300 more to go! One-time donations are also greatly appreciated.

Remember, ACTION is a network of Christ followers dedicated to taking the Love of Jesus out to our community. This was in evidence by this year’s Serve Weekend that so many of you were a part of. Over 1,600 servants, representing 30 churches responded to 150 projects throughout the greater community. Indeed, much more needs to be done, as ACTION will continue serving the community for the rest of the year.
