Corresponding with scammers- beware of snakes

Corresponding with scammers- Beware of snakes

I will tell you a little story, about my brief correspondence with a scammer on A Christian Social Networking site. This woman (Assuming she really was a woman) said she really liked my profile and had much to talk to me about at first I thought she was interested in online dating. Even though I'm not really interested in online dating I wrote her back anyway and said that I'm not interested in online dating but I will offer my hand in friendship. So she wrote me back and sent a picture of her, she was pretty. So I wrote her back said thank you for the pic even though I never asked for one, and said that she was pretty.

I'm not sure why I would say that, perhaps I figured that she wanted some kind of approval on her appearance, I assumed that maybe she has low self-image issues.
Well she writes back and without hesitation she gets into this sob story on how her parents who were of royal heritage and her country has been overthrown and her parents were killed and she needs to gain access to their multi-million dollar account and of course she needs my help to get it. And she’ll give me 40% and blah; blah; blah. Then doesn't she present me with this form because she wanted me to fill out all my banking and credit card information. The nerve of her, I couldn't believe it, how stupid does she think I am? Well I may have been a little naive but I do know a scam when I see it.

I wrote her back and scolded her for what she was trying to do, and how dare she use a Christian website to cheat people out of their hard earned money. This is how scammers operate, their lazy, stupid, useless, and they lack patience and intelligence. Beware of these snakes, if someone is acting all nice and sweet towards you, and then ask you for money almost as soon as they start to correspond with you, that should be a red light. Their not "God fearing" as they like to say they are at times, especially on Christian sites like this one they don't care about you, all they want is your money.
Regardless of where you are emotionally especially if your lonely, do not get tangled up with these people, it's not worth you while, you can do way better. What they say in terms of offering you love and affection, ignore it.

I corresponded with another scammer recently in a chat room, she lied about where she lived because her profile said she was from New York, but she said she was from Uganda. She totally misquoted a scripture verse; by misquoted I mean she was way off. Then she tried to impress me with her credentials & qualities. I only met her the one time and it wasn't 10 minutes and already she wanted to start a relationship with me. She even said that she was willing to relocate to my city to be with me. That’s how they work, with no patience and no brains.

Oh and by the way if or when a scammer ends their note with lol, that doesn't mean Laugh out Loud, it means lots of love. So you have to ask yourself, how can they love you when they don't know you? Or how can they call you dear when they don't know you? They like to throw that word around allot. --Some of my words about these scammers may seem a little harsh, but keep in mind these people would cheat an old woman out of her pension check just to make a buck or two then laugh about it. Make no mistake, these snakes are evil.
