LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ys-wrHtrfgc

Love is the main focal point to Christianity. Love, Agape Love is what we are to show one another. Jesus Christ our Lord submited Himself to a tortured gruesome death on the cross for us all. Jesus told us to love our brothers as ourselves. This does not mean just our relations with our next door neighbor, nor just those of our households; but it means the Agape love of all, including our enemies. Sometimes this is very hard to do. I love the song "What the world needs now is love sweet love" not just for one, but for everyone. It is so evident now, that what our world needs now is God, and godly love for one another. We need to get a grip on ourselves, start communicating with one another, sharing ideas with spiritual meanings with one another, break down the barriers that separate us, and create everlasting Christian bonds. Please give feedback on this and your ideas. God bless larry

PRAYER: Do you expect an answer?
Current mood: blessed
Category: Religion and Philosophy
Isaiah 1:15-17

15. When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.

16. Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean. Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil.

17. Learn to do good; Seek justice. Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless; Plead for the widow.

There are prayers God will not hear.

We have just read it! When we ignore God's word and continue to do evil (worldly) things, we cannot expect God to hear us when we pray.

Do we:
1. Seek Justice?
2. Rebuke the oppressor?
3. Defend the fatherless?
4. Plead for the widow?

Or do we put them down, look down our nose at them and say: Get a job. I have to work, let them work. If I help them they will just use the money for drugs. They can do better.

Don't you know that when God puts someone on your heart and brings someones needs to your attention, He is wanting to use you and that He is working with that person?

Saul was a murderer, he persecuted Christians, but just look what God did! He brought Saul into His presence on the road to Damascus, then God changed Saul's name to Paul and used him in a mighty way. God works all things together for the good of those who love Him. God heard the prayers of the Christians and instead of wiping Saul off the face of the earth, changed Saul's heart and used him for God's glory. Praise God!!

Who are we to judge? We do not know what God has in store for anyone! We only know what we see and what we hear people say. Only God knows the heart of the people. Only God can heal spiritually and change lives. He does not want anyone to perish and knows exactly what needs to be done to accomplish His purpose.

God has told us:
1. Do not Gossip
2. Do not lie
3. Do not cheat
4. Do not steal
5. Do not dishonor our parents
6. Do not judge
7. Do not ignore the poor, needy, widows, orphans, sick, or those in prison.
8. Do not covet (want things, or what other people have)
9. Do not commit adultery
10. Do not be self righteous

These are just a few of the things God has told us not to do. He has told us: Faith without works is dead, and works without faith is dead.

We cannot work our way to heaven, but when we have God's love in our hearts, we love Him so much we want to do what He tells us.

When we say, here am I Lord send me, He takes us at our word. Do not say this unless you are sure this is what you mean. Consider the cost!

If you want God to hear your prayers, put away all evil ways, wash yourselves, make yourselves clean, keep God's commandments.

Those who have ears to hear, let them hear.
