What a blessing to see you on here; it is not a coincidence but God's divine providence that you would be here. I was kidnapped by my mother when I was very young. She crossed state lines to ensure that my father could not see me or my brother, and went to Florida. There were many circumstances that led her to do this, and she felt justified because the divorce judge basically suggested it to her in not so many words.

But the fact is that she did break the law. I grew up without my father, which helped contribute to my feeling lost and confused in life. When I heard from a relative that he might die from cancer, over thirteen years later, I contacted him. Around that same time I got saved. The story has a happy ending: we were reunited and he recently came to visit us. He met my husband and our daughter for the first time. He has also been cancer-free for over five years now. We shared our faith in Christ with him and explained what we believe, and I pray for him often. I was deeply heartbroken and spiritually lost because of the divorce and physical separation, but it did make me a stronger person. I look back and see the Lord's hand in all of it.

Something like a family kidnapping of a loved one is not easy to deal with, but Romans 8:28 tells us "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose." I believe that your friend will be just fine, as God is watching over her. This may be something that strengthens her faith in the Lord, or yours, and could serve to be a personal ministry later on in life. Just have faith and pray constantly, and we will be praying for you and her. Also know that most kidnappings in the U.S. are perpetrated by relatives, and most of them (92%) end up without any kind of physical injury or harm.

God will bring the rightful conclussion to pass. You are in my prayers and I pray that God gives you peace beyond understanding. psalm 119 v 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. God will guide you through all situations as he has promised in his word. God bless you hun
