Profile Information

O, Please help me, Lord
To seek out what is true;
To walk the straight and narrow path
That leads me straight to You.

I often take a detour
Down some winding, dusty road
Where trouble seems to find me,
Thereby adding to my load.

Along the path I tremble
And cry out to You in fear.

Instantly You rescue me
And dry up every tear.

I am forever grateful
That You don't turn me away.

I vow that I will follow You
Until my dying day.

And even as I say it,
A knock upon my door
Beckons sweet temptation
And my greediness for more.

I can only fight it
With the faith I've found in You.

Your strength is ever with me
And Your word is always true.

And so, I'll keep on walking
Through the sunshine and the rain,
Trusting that Your sweet love
Will lead me home again.

Future glory.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creation was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but because of him who has subjected it in hope, Because the creation itself will also be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, that is, the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope; but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he has already seen? But if we hope for that we do not yet see, then we wait for it with patience. Romans. 8:18-25

The Beatitudes

Now when he saw the crowds; he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciple came to him; and he began to teach them; saying;

Blessed are poor in spirit; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn; for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek; for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness; for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful; for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart; for they will see god.
Blessed are the peacemakers; for they will be called son of god.
Blessed are those who persecuted because of righteousness; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you; percecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad; because great is your reward in heaven; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

RUN
And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth, that they said, "Escape for your life! Do not look behind you or stay anywhere in the plain! Escape to the mountain, lest you be consumed."
Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.
Flee sexual immorality.5 every other sin that a man commits is outside his body, but he who commits sexual immorality, sins against his own body.
Flee youthful lusts; but follow righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Therefore since we are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin that does so easily entangle us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
For the love of money is the root of all evil, through which some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Therefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Do you not know that all those who run in a race, run; but only one receives the prize? So run, that you may obtain the prize.2
Therefore I do not run uncertainly; I do not fight like one who beats the air.
But those who wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.
But none of these things move me, neither do I count my life dear to myself, if only I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
