Taming the tongue.
My brothers, not many of you should be teachers, knowing that we who teach will be judged by a stricter judgment; For we all err in many things; and if any man does not err in his words, he is a perfect man, and able also to control his whole body. Indeed, we put bits in the horses' mouths so they will obey us, and [by the bit] we can turn their whole body around. Look at ships, which though they are so great and are driven of fierce winds, yet are turned about with a very small helm, wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it can boast of great things. Consider how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. It is set among our members, defiling the whole body, and setting on fire the course of our life; and it is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast, and of bird, and of serpent, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With which we bless God the Father, and by which we curse men, who are created in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring send forth sweet and bitter water from the same opening? Can the fig tree, my brothers, bear olives? Or can the grapevine bear figs? So no spring can yield both salt water and fresh.

Hi Sylvia, I read your prayer on the prayer wall and I just want you to know that I'm praying for you and your husband. Here is a novena that I know has helped a lot of people. I'm not sure if you're familiar with novenas, but they are 9 day prayers and they are supposed to be the most powerful prayers taht can be said. God bless. <3

Prayer to Obtain a Child

Infant test/procedure preparation Jesus, by that most treasured privilege of your divine Maternity, I entreat you! In the name of those holy joys you knew when in an ecstasy of love you pressed your little Baby to your breast, I implore you to hear and bless my petition!

Motherhood is very dear to you, Mary. You, the Queen of Mothers and Mother of Mothers, know as no other mother can the exalted dignity of motherhood. You know how immensly great is the privelege to call into this world a tiny soul destined to praise God forever in heaven.

This is the blessing I ask of you, Mary! Confidently I seek it, for I know that holy motherhood is so precious in your sight. Confidently I trust in your intercession for this favor, since Jesus is the lover of little children and has said that we should allow them to come unto Him.

It is this I ask of you; it is this trust I commit to your holy intercession--that I might be priveleged to bring to Jesus a little one such as He so dearly loves, that He may bless it, and that He may bless me too in my motherhood, and that He may increase us always in sanctification in the fullness of His divine life. Amen.
