god with us

so, my hope is to write a blog daily, at least until i leave for camp this summer, and hopefully when i get back too liek i used to do [on another christian website, that has sortof not been used much lately]. anyways here goes:

tonight, my church had youth group tonight, and from everything thats been going on lately, i just feel like there are some people are just saying words instead of believing them. god please be with me, please comfort me. emmanuel: god with us. god is always with us, the bible tells us this over and over again. god is with us when we make mistakes, when we dont live up to other peoples expectations [let alone our own], when we are with our friends, at school and work, when we are gathered together to talk to him or worship him, we cant get away from his presence. god is omnipresent. he is everywhere, at any given time. we just need to be paying attention to things that go on around us. god performs miracles every day of our lives, he guides our lives and speaks to us if we are willing to listen. [for those who have ears, let him hear] god already has a plan for our lives, we just have to look for them, and even if we dont, we will still see glimpses of what we are supposed to be doing. i dont know what i want to do yet, but i know that god has placed the passions of my heart there for a reason, and if i follow my heart, and the passions within it, i can find what god truely longs for me to do. its more about looking where god is working and jumping in to help out. god has perfect timing and will give different people opportunies, and prepare them for the road ahead. everything we go through is a way to make us stronger and help someone else out in the future who is going through the same thing. thats why we have christian friends, to comfort and assure us that when we are following the what we think "crazy" path god has laid out, we really are making the right choices and doing the right thing. everything can happen in a leap of faith, and god never dissapoints. so next time youre praying god, please be with me, just remember he already is. we just need to pray that god opens are eyes and shows us how he never leaves us.
