Good News For Wednesday October 14, 2009
Blessings All! In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Peace be to you and yours! Something good is going to happen to you today! Today’s good news is called God Is Faithful! As some of you may or may not know I have been battling sickness in my body over the last few months. Primarily in my back, and lately my teeth. The pain was so bad I couldn’t even drive. I couldn’t even get out of the house. Well I am here to today proclaiming I am pain free! God is faithful! I just kept meditating on the promises of God. When the pain would hit I would proclaim By His Stripes I Am Healed! 1 Peter 2:24 (New King James Version): who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. It wasn’t easy at all and there were times I felt like giving up and quitting but through God’s faithfulness and people praying for me, I came out victorious. Galatians 6:9 (New Living Translation): So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Notice it says we will reap if we don’t give up. You have to get to the place where you know but you know and you are fully persuaded that God‘s Word is truth and it will do what it says it will do. What are some steps to help keep you from giving up and to be fully persuaded . I will show you straight from God’s Word.
First of all we need to have a relationship with God and get to know who He is. How do we get to know who He is? How did you get to know who your wife or husband or best friend was? You spent time with them. When they would call, you recognized their voice immediately. We must spend time with God to really know who He is and to recognize His voice when He speaks to us. We get to know Him by prayer and spending time in His Word and putting it deep in our hearts. You must search out the promises of God and meditate them day and night. Joshua 1:8 (New King James Version): This Book of the Law (The Word Of God) shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. When you store the Word in your heart you will be fully persuaded and you know and trust God to perform His Word. Then you can be like Abraham not going by what you see but trusting God fully. Romans 4:18-21 (King James Version): Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform.
It said Abraham was strong in faith. How do you get strong in faith? By hearing the Word of God! Romans 10:17 (King James Version): So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. You must go where the Word of God is preached to hear it. Also read out loud to your self the Word of God. Get together with other believers and study the Word. Listen to tapes and cd’s. Then you will be fully persuaded and stand on God’s Word to see your need met. And you too will be saying GOD IS FAITHFUL! I will leave you with this: Isaiah 55:11 (Amplified Bible): So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.'Till tomorrow this is your good news reporter with the good news straight from God’s news desk reminding you that GOD IS IN CONTROL and JESUS LOVES YOU! Have a peaceful and blessed Jesus kind of day! With much love In Him. J. Taylor
