Headline: Who And What Is The Word Of God?
Good News For Friday October 16, 2009
Blessings All! In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Peace be to you and yours! Something good is going to happen to you today! Today’s good news is called Who And What Is The Word Of God? I just wanted to share today some facts from the Bible who and what the Word of God is to us:
1) The Beginning : In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1 NIV )
2) Our Shield And Protection : God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to Him for protection. (Psalms 18:30 N.L.T.)
3) Our Light To See By : By Your Words I can see where I'm going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path. (Psalms 119:105 The Message)
4) Our Healing : He sent forth His Word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave. (Psalms 107:20 NIV)
5) Our Food : But He (Jesus) replied, It has been written, Man shall not live and be upheld and sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.(Matthew 4:4 (Amplified Bible)
6) Our Helmet and Sword : Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. (Ephesians 6:17 N.L.T.)
7) The Word Runs : He sends his command to the earth; His Word runs swiftly. (Psalms 147:15 NIV)
8) Will Not Return Empty : So is My Word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11 NIV)
9) Its Living And Active : For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12 NIV)
10) Will Stand Forever : The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of our God stands forever." (Isaiah 40:8 NIV)
Well by no means is this all the Word of God is, there are thousands more scriptures, take time and search them out. Today I just wanted you to see what you really have. The Word of God is the answer to every problem you will ever have. So let’s get into the Word and God’s presence today! Let’s take it and use it for our lives and we will have victory! I will leave you with this thought: Revelation 19:13 (Amplified Bible): He (JESUS) is dressed in a robe dyed by dipping in blood, and the title by which He is called is The WORD OF GOD. 'Till Monday this is your good news reporter with the good news straight from God’s news desk reminding you that GOD IS IN CONTROL and JESUS LOVES YOU!
