I'm not scared, are you?
No matter what your state whether it be financial, spiritual or physical, it doesn't matter, God has it under control.
We really don't know what's going to happen tomorrow, but God has it all planned out for us. Have you ever felt like you needed help and wasn't getting it. Ever prayed and it felt like God wasn't listening, or he was sleeping, or he just didn't care? It's not that he doesn't care, that's because he already had it worked out. He doesn't worry, he has it all mapped out already and doesn't have to worry. Here is a new piece of advice, give EVERY problem no matter how big or small to the one who already knows what he is going to do about it anyways.
In Mark 4 disciples were on a ship with God and as a storm arose, he slept. In verse 38 the disciples go to him and wake him and say "Master carest thou not that we perish?". By doing this they question God's ability. We should never question whether he cares or not- he loves us all the same. You don't have to understand, just rely o him to deal with your storm. He will not put on you any more than he knows you can handle. Your storm won't get any worse than he wants it to. In verse 39 God speaks to the wind and sea and says "Peace, be still" and all was quiet. He will do the same for your raging seas whatever it may be, you just have to hand it over and let him take care of it.
At one point God says to Paul in the Bible "My grace is sufficient for thee". As it was for Paul, it is for you still today. In this story in Mark chapter 4, the disciples were worried about their physical lives. In verse 39-40 they question his ability and God asked them why they were scared and where their faith was. In verse 40 God says "Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?" They had no faith that God could handle the storm. God was lying there on the ship the whole time and they knew it, why didn't they ask him to speak to the storm and have the faith that he could handle and calm it? God is there for you on your sailing ship of life, why do you let him just be there, ask him to speak to and calm your raging storm. Has it ever occurred to you that it has already occurred to God, he is just waiting for you to ask?
God did promise as his children the our needs would be met as long as we are faithful and true to him. Now he never promised us four t.v's in our homes, or a big house with three or four cars, but God will take care of your basic needs.
Why are we so fearful when we know we have him right there to protect us? I am glad God can take care of my spiritual and basic needs. Put your faith in the only one who can speak to your storm and say "Peace, be still" and calm your storm the way he did the waters for those disciples. It is powerful to say you know the creator of the universe personally. Know or met a movie star in life? So I know Jesus, he is my friend!! No matter what your going through, remember God is bigger.
