Thankful

Hey everyone, my name is Toby Traxler. I currently live in Virginia. Throughout my past nineteen years, I was never really raised with a life that was represented with churches, except for the couple of times I went to church with my dad on certain holidays. I have always had a certain curiousity about religion and God. I've always wanted to just read the Word and see what it has to offer. I've never really made myself complete this goal that I have wanted. For a life without churches, I was never taught the Word of God and all the beautiful things He has brought into my life.
As of now, I am glad this has ended. This is all due to a great friend of mine, Patrick McGrath. Patrick and I went to high school together and we kind of separated when he moved away. Recently, we saw each other on Facebook and started chatting to me. He told me all about his discipleship and King's Commission and was wondering if this was a sign. God had always brought friends around me that went to church, but I never understood the signs. I just let it fly away until Patrick started talking to me. He talked about God's word and how I need to be apart of it.
I have always believed in the Holy Spirit and the Word, but never practiced it. I have always felt my life was too busy and just didn't have the time. This shouldn't be the case. I have found out recently, by Patrick, that I need to make time to read the Word and bring God into my life.
For the signs and Word of God, I am forever thankful. I am forever thankful for the friends that God has brought me, especially Patrick. If it wasn't for Patrick, I would still be lost in this world with no hope of going to church and still wondering if I would ever find time to read the Word. Now, I don't have to find time. I make time to read the Word and make God a part of my life.
